On September 9, 2025, a delegation from the Consulate General of Pakistan in Guangzhou, led by Consul General Sardar Muhammad, visited Xiamen University’s School of International Relations/Research School of Southeast Asian Studies. The delegation held discussions with faculty and students on China-Pakistan relations and regional cooperation.
Associate Professor Zhang Miao, Vice Dean of the school, welcomed the delegation and highlighted the school’s existing collaborations with South Asian institutions. She expressed hopes for strengthened academic and cultural exchanges with Pakistan.
Consul General Sardar Muhammad introduced Pakistan’s geopolitical and economic profile, emphasizing its agricultural, mineral, and technological strengths. He underscored the deep bilateral ties and shared achievements under the Belt and Road Initiative.
An interactive session followed, where students and faculty raised questions about regional cooperation and youth exchanges. The Consul General’s responses enhanced mutual understanding and paved the way for future collaboration.
The event concluded with a group photo, symbolizing the commitment to furthering Pakistan-China relations through academic and diplomatic channels.
