AUN Secretariat
The ASEAN University Network, or AUN, was established in November 1995 under the Charter signed by the ASEAN Ministers responsible for Higher Education. The AUN operates under the umbrella of ASEAN as a mechanism to help promote human resource development and enhance the quality of education in the region.
Since its establishment, the AUN has played a key role in strengthening the existing network of cooperation among leading universities and higher education institutions in the ASEAN region. The AUN provides various programmes and activities within ASEAN, including:

The AUN is also actively involved in collaborative activities with ASEAN’s Dialogue Partners such as China, the European Union, India, Japan, the Republic of Korea and Russia. The AUN’s activities are managed by the AUN Secretariat located in Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok. The Secretariat is headed by an Executive Director, a position currently held by Associate Professor Dr. Piniti Ratananukul.
