Visit by Mrs. Wai Yin Pryke, Director of the National Library of Singapore

On the afternoon of May 14, 2018, President Wai Yin Pryke of the National Library of Singapore, Consul-General Chi Chiew Sum of the General Consulate of Singapore in Xiamen, Member of the Advisory Committee of the National Library of Singapore, Mr. Kua Bak Lim, Assistant Director of the National Archives of Singapore, Mr.Yit Chin Chuan, and Mrs. Ang seow leng, senior librarian of the National Library of Singapore, visited Research School for Southeast Asian Studies of Xiamen University. Director Wai Yin Pryke welcomed the students and teachers of the Research School to apply for the scholarship of the National Library of Singapore and to visit Singapore for research. She hoped that through mutual visits and exchanges, cooperation would be further strengthened to promote the development of Southeast Asian research and library and information undertakings between Singapore and China. Mrs. Ang seow leng introduced the core section, collection layout, public services of the National Library of Singapore, as well as information projects being gradually improved or planned. Finally, both sides exchanged books.
