It is revealed from the press conference on June 1 that according to the agreement between China and ASEAN, the 3rd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) is to be held on October 31- November 3, 2006.

 

This year is the 15th anniversary of the establishment of negotiation cooperation partnership between China and ASEAN and the celebration of this great occasion is to be held at the same time with the 3rd China-ASEAN Expo and the 3rd China-ASEAN Business & Investment Summit (CABIS).

 

So far the promotion of the 3rd CAEXPO has been progressing vigorously and the 3,000 exhibition booths have found favor in the eyes of enterprises, business associations and competent departments from both home and abroad. Up till May 31, the home enterprises, associations and relative departments have booked 3,050 booths and the ASEAN nations 700.

 

Shanghai (China), Bandar Seri Begawan (Brunei), Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Semarang (Indonesia), Khon (Thailand), Singapore City (Singapore) and Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) have been decided as the City of Charm for the Expo, and the rest will come out recently.

 

Co-sponsors of the 3rd CAEXPO from China and the ASEAN nations will have a senior official conference in Nanning on June 13.
