World-class artists are attending Pattaya International Music Festival 2005 in Chonburi, Thailand on March 18-20, 2005. This year's Pattaya International Music Festival will adopt a new structure and surprise visitors with a major cosmetic turnover that offers a different and more international format, according to Jutamas Siriwan, governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).
"The Festival will reflect the musical cooperation at the national and region level and at the same time will project the good images of Pattaya in terms of beautiful sceneries and being a world-class music festival city," she said.
The Pattaya International Music Festival 2005 is organized under the "No Boundary Music Exchange" theme that is aimed at displaying a borderless musical entertainment through the musical capabilities of various international and local stars who combine musical pleasure with understanding of variety of musical cultures.
This year the stage will be open air and carry the “Music Box” theme. It is located along the Beach Road and comprises of three parts -- "World Box" for international artists, "Love box" for Asean artists and "Peace Box" for Thai artists.
Artists for this year's event are recruited by MTV from those who qualify as nominees of the MTV Asia Aid and those who make the top 10 in the Asian music styles, that are preferably compatible with Thai artists.
And to stress the image of a borderless musical world, activities will also be held such as a music and new Kiosk, music tuition and performance, Music Man & Music Box (open-air music performance at various venues) and meet the star events for the public to get close to their favorite artist. |
