Virginia Shih is Librarian in charge of the Southeast Asian Collections, one of the comprehensive collections in both western and Southeast Asian languages in North America at the University of California, Berkeley (UCB). She is Chair of the Southeast Asia Materials Project Executive Committee administered by the Center for Research Libraries in Chicago.
